Three colour reduction woodcuts, titled Can’t See the Wood for the Trees.

There are 15 of each. 15 in yellow, white and black and 15 in green, white and black hand printed on beautiful Bunkoshi Japanese paper.

These prints depict a scene where my recurring character Tree Girl takes centre stage mid metamorphosis. She is peaceful here, sleeping amongst the density of the woodland, her leaves keeping her warm. Ring pulls litter the grass beneath her, a nostalgic reminder of previous gatherings in the woods. This work is a celebration of trusting the uncertain, following your nose and discovering the beauty right under it.
